Artsmill Preview

On Sunday 16th March brave souls braced the weather to join us for the private view of our biggest exhibition of the INSTIGATE : EXCHANGE project to date. With 65 works spread throughout 3 rooms and over 2 floors, Ian and I bared our souls to the discerning public once again. We were humbled by the turn out, with friends old and new coming from all over to support us. A big thank you to everyone who came, and of course to Artsmill & its volunteers. There is still a chance to catch the show if you haven’t been – closes 4pm on Sunday 24th March.

Hello 2019! New Exhibition: Hebden Bridge Town Hall

We’re starting the year running with another show. A few select works from our ongoing INSTIGATE : EXCHANGE project are presently on display at Hebden Bridge Town Hall – the fabulous community hub of the town!

The show runs until 7th Jan – 2nd Feb 2019, and all works are for sale.

Back at it in… You and Me, Dean Clough

This have been pretty quiet recently, mostly owing to work and all the crazy events I have been helping to organise and run in Hebden Bridge. Dull is one thing that Hebden is not!

I am delighted to have a number of self portrait works currently on display at Dean Clough Mills Link Gallery as part of Ian Taylor’s recent foray into (re)presenting self portraits.

Bizarre as ever, the exhibition is entitled You and Me and runs from 9th June – 14th July 2018.

After the Flood: Calderdale Museums

I’ve recently moved into a new job at Hebden Bridge Town Hall, and so I thought I’d make a little post on the last exhibition (for now!) that I curated for Calderdale Museums.

The exhibition featured a series of photographs by Mike Bentley who has documented the demolition and rebuilding of Elland Bridge following the devastation of the Boxing Day floods, 2015. It is on until 11th November, so there’s still plenty of time to catch it!

Coming soon to Dean Clough Halifax

We have been a little quiet of late working behind the scenes on our next exhibition, but we are now happy to announce:

(no, not the birth of our beautiful baby *insert gender*, mother is doing fine yadda yadda)… but, INSTIGATE: EXCHANGE… a few rules (still)

is coming soon to Dean Clough Mills, Halifax, where we will be showing the next instalment of our collaborative adventure.

Join us from 12 noon on Saturday 17th June for the private view, including a free preview tipple or two!

Hope to see you there, Ebony & Ian xx

Preview video of INSTIGATE : EXCHANGE at The Wishbone Gallery

Thank you to everyone who came to our preview on the 14th January, and thank you to gallery owners David and Carine for all their help! For those who couldn’t make it (or didn’t fancy bracing the the Winter North Yorkshire temperatures!) remember that the show continues until the 26th March, so there’s still plenty of time to have a look and let us know what you think.
